The Neapolitan Masters Competition

What is?

The International Piano Competition ‘The Neapolitan Masters’ has been created to bring Naples out in the Music world, it is a member of Alink-Argerich Foundation.

The Jury is composed by the most important international performers and artistic directors.

It is an important way for the young pianists, which could win these following prizes: some grants, concerts all around the world, the production of a personal cd, an agreement with the most important chinese agency.

The First Prize

The winner of the “The Neapolitan Masters Prize” will be offered:

  •  a scholarship ‘Sergio Fiorentino’ of  € 1.000 by AMP PISANI SRL
  • The opportunity to perform in China in the following concert season, as part of an exchange with “Beijing Heyday Century Culture Development Company” China.
  • The opportunity to perform in Rome (Italy) with the Orchestra in the following concert season, as part of an exchange with the “Opera in Roma Symphony Orchestra”.
  • The opportunity of contract with ‘Da Vinci Edition’ with scholarship of € 700,00 for production costs
  • The opportunity to perform in Naples (Italy) in the official concert season of the Conservatory
  • Will be invited in international music festival partners

The Neapolitan Masters

ages 16 – 36 or less at the time of the competition
PRE-SELECTION with VIDEO RECORDING: The recording should contain a free program, maximum duration 15 minutes. Editing of the recordings is not allowed, but separate works or movements can be from different takes.

President of Giury
Giuseppe Devastato is a pianist and composer recognized by international critics as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. he has worked in the most important theaters in Europe America and Asia and he won two international awards to Global Music Awards in Los Angeles - USA

Alexey Bogorad
Member of the jury
Alexey Bogorad is the resident conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, he Recorded for "Columbia records" as a soloist of orchestra played under the leadership of: Mstislav Rostropovich, Zubin Metha, Valery Gergiev, Evgeny Svetlanov and others.

Philippe Raskin
Member of the jury
Philippe Raskin has won several national and international piano competitions, he has performed many recitals all over the world. He is invited each year to be a member of the jury in several international piano competitions and he was also the artistic director of the “Resonances Musique de Chambre” in France.

Martin Lysholm Jepsen
Member of the jury
Martin Lysholm Jepsen founded the Gradus Piano School in Aarhus for young piano talents. Since the 2016 he has been appointed as teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and and he is the founder and artistic director of the Gradus International Piano Festival in Musikhuset

Elena Selezneva
Member of the jury
Elena Selezneva won the first prize at the competition among music schools of Moscow and won the first prize at the competition for the best interpretation of the virtuosic piece at Prokofiev college. Elena gave numerous concerts in Russia, Europe and Asia. She is the member of the Rachmaninov Society in Russia

Artistic Director
Luciano Ruotolo is a pianist and artistic director, he played in USA (Michigan and Colorado), Czech Republic, France, Spain and Italy. He attended Music Management courses at the Accademia Teatro Alla Scala in Milan and he is a Artistic Director of many Festivals in Italy

Naples Conservatory of Music

The Naples Conservatory of Music is a music school located in  Naples, Italy. It is situated in the complex of San Pietro a Majella

It was originally located in the church of the former monastery of San Sebastiano and was called the Conservatorio di San Sebastiano, formed in 1807 by the merger of the Conservatorio di Santa Maria di Loreto, the Conservatorio di Sant’ Onofrio in Capuana, and the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini. It also became known as the Real Collegio di Musica, and after 1826 when it moved to its current location, as the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Majella.
